Hi
I'm about to end my year's contract with Vodafone (have a p900). Although this phone is good...I've decided to opt for a more traditional phone...
I'm interested in the v800, but have seen another phone 'coming soon' called the z800i...Is this a 'much' upgraded version of the v800? I read somewhere that the v800's firmware can be upgraded to the z800i?? I'm jumping the gun but I just want to make a good choice and not find a better phone released next week.....Next few months I could live with
Also, Vodafone is the only network I've ever used (6 years)..Would I be ok sticking with them? I've heard mention of their 'crappy' software..Though that's probably just user opinion...
Thanks for any help
Jon

z800 and v800 are same phones. The v800 uses the voda version of the phones software, while z800 uses the generic SE version of the software. Yes, v800 can be converted to z800.

i only just found out that i get first 30 days of voda live free so that means free football goals every saturday whooo and tons of trailers etc but apart from that its crap

Get a Z800. Same as the V800. But you may get the v800 cheaper cause you're on voda.

Thanks for the replies
Just quickly, what's the deal with the mp3's? They don't work with Vodafone or something? (or bugged?)
Also, can this phone use the 512MB and 1GB Duo's?
Thanks again
Jon

@Johnny5alv
The deal with with the mp3's is that you can't use them in the branded version of V800 (when you have the Voda f/w). And that's because the branded V800 supports only protected files (DRM). What you can do is to download the DRM packager and make every mp3 song you want protected and then transfer it to the phone.
As for the memory sticks, the V800 can use up to 1GB Duo Pro.

Imo, voda fw is true horror. Luckily, it can be replaced easily.
