Hello. this afternoon i purchased a G4 powerbook. i have never been a hugh apple fan, and was always a little skeptical about making the switch. but i liked the thing, so i figured i should go for it.
anyway....
When i got home one of the first things i did(since my 60 gig i pod is still charging. hahah) is threw in my pc suite for my p910. and when it didnt take me to the install wizard, i realized it was compatible with my new toy. i was extremly bummed. should i let this get me down? is there a mac version of pc suite? are there other programs and such so i can still sync the two devices? please help me. im not too informed about stuff like this.
thanks

Just use iSync to sync your contacts and calendar, and use BlueTooth to transfer files you need to install.

Or buy a USB card-reader to transfer larger files to and from the MS.

Best regards
Peter

PC Suite sucks anyway, I never liked it, I use a memory stick reader, and have no problems whatsoever, also I use bluetooth for other reasons, since u can control itunes and other programs thru ure phone.

Hey guys... always used SE... and PCs. I know most SE phones are more compatible with Macs than Nokia and other brands... but how's the P910i with Macs? Any issues with the P910i that the other SE phones do NOT have with Macs?

I'm trying to convince a friend of mine to switch to SE from Nokia... and she's a Mac user. I don't want her to run into any compatibility problems that I can't solve... or P910i functions she can't use simply because she's on a Mac.

iSync is already installed as part of Mac OS X. You can read about it here:

http://www.apple.com/isync/

It's very simple to set-up and use. Start off by putting some dates in iCal (already installed in Mac OS X) and some contacts in Address Book (again, already installed in Mac OS X).

Then go to Applications > Utilities > Bluetooth Setup Assistant and follow the instructions to pair your phone with you Mac and set-up iSync.

The following threads will probably be helpful:

Apple Macintosh and Sony Ericsson issues
Using the Sony Ericsson K700 with an Apple Mac (same for other SE phones)

dude, u made the best choice ever. i wish i chose a g4 too. i'm in advertising business, a designer. fact is that here in romania macs are not so common so i had to stick to the fujitsu siemens amilo pro win machine. well, anyhow, i got a friend who has a g4. and i've been connecting all of my devices to that machine and doing most of the current and atypical tasks using a se t610, p900, ipaq h6340, pa1mone zire 72, through ir, gprs, wi-fi and bluetooth. there is support for everything. check mac forums and their website and u'll find solutions. plenty! then, try to stick to bluetooth. mac has a softspot for it so it provided loads of functionality through OSX. good luck!
