I am trying to get a decent mapping of my Outlook contract fields into the contacts fields on the t68i. I am using XTNDConnectPC over IR to do it. I have tried changing the mappings in XTNDConnectPC settings and can see part of the address in the Title field on my phone. I guess there are length restrictions for the various fields on the t68i which stop me from seeing the full address record.

Has anyone else managed to do this successful, am I just being a muppet, can anyone help?

Thanks, J

john, if you're mapping the outlook address 1 to the phone's title field then you're limited to 15 characters.

Arnoldc,
thanks, had worked that out, was wondering if there are any longer fields avaiable, do you have a list of the field lengths on the phone.

Thanks John

Also I forgot to say that I assume that the fields are typed, some only allowing numeric values, like Fax. Is there a listing/website that details the fields.

afaik,

Title = char(15)
Name = char(30)
Company = char(15)
Email = char(51)
Home, Work, Mobile, Fax, Other = numeric(31)

arnoldc,

thats what I feared, so there is no way of doing what I want. I am a bit annoyed as the web sites I read prior to buying the t68 suggested you could synch outlook address book with phone. I had stupidly assumed this was going to allow me to use my phone in place of a PDA, but without some space for addresses I cant do that.

Oh well, its still a great phone, and at least I can give up my quest now!

Thanks, J

Is this a final verdict?
No address fields in the phone book?

For me, that's the only thing I need to ditch the PDA...
No tweaking possible of phonebook fields/fieldlengths?

Sadly this does seem to be the final answer, I have given up trying to get more than one line of the address and the postcode into the phone!

So no extra fields, or adjustable fieldlengths in sight?
Doesn't really seem rocket science to me... just no Ericsson priority I guess
