First of all hello to all and hope you are ok.

I have just upgraded from the p900 into p910i and honestly i love the p series i owned p800 then p900 now p910i but i never had the following problem. Hope someone can help.

Flip closed icons of the phone itself work ok but when i select a third party software (unrealplayer ex) the icon does not properly show when selected. I am attaching the pictures taken for you guys to see.

The phone itself is a tmobile branded and when i went back to the shop today they did accept that there is something wrong with the phone but told me to wait till monday.
What i want to now is if anyone else has had the same problem if so please reply.

I have a P910 which is not on T-Mobile and it is the same on mine so it is normal

The reason being is that the UnrealPlayer icon is not expandable (as it is only a small image)

If you go to your Applications list in View As Icons (Applications->Edit->View As Icons) and scroll through the icons you will notice that they all expand to a bigger size until you get to Unrealplayer which will stay the same size

To welsh uk

I did try powermp3 trial, phonesecure, ACM
but still the flipclosed and unselected u can c it normally but once you select the application using the jogdial the icon dissapears and all you can see is the outline of the ballon that is used to highlight the app.
The tmobile branding sucks by the way it stops you from using some topicons on flipopen also.

I just tried it with PowerMp3 (i dont have the others that you mentioned) and it is also blank

The icon is not expandable as it does not have an expanable image

Does that mean that there is nothing wrong with my p910i.

How can i test this?
What software shall i use to test the flipclosed icons?

Yes their is nothing wrong with your P910

To test if you can have an expandable image on flip closed

If you go to your Applications list in View As Icons (Applications->Edit->View As Icons) if you scroll through the icons and a certain apps icon does not expand then it will be blank in flip closed

The reason is that you need 2 images for the image to expand (eg 16x16 and 32x32) but some developers dont bother to put 2 images in their app so all you get is 1 image at 16x16 which cant be expanded so you get a blank balloon image

In what way flash it

Get rid of the branding (aint gonna be easy) you will have to get someone to do it for you

Or update the firmware which you can do HERE if their is one available for your cda
