> T 28 headset and active flip
Bookmark topic
I just bought a T 28 on E-bay, I wanted to try some of Ericssons history and I have a queston. The T 28 has an Active Flip, when the phone rings, opening the flip answers the phone and the microphone is located in the flip, that is simple, but, when you have a headset plugged into the T 28, does the flip have to be open during the call? or, can you close it and still maintain tha connection and allow the phone to be put in a pocket?
I do not have the phone yet because as many of you know, transactions on E-Bay can move slow, but I have downloaded the T 28 manual and have not found anything about connecting a headset. It seems that the T 28 uses the standard SE headset.
Thanks

You don't need to open the flip when you have a headset plugged. Just answer a call by pushing the answering button at the headset.

if you press the volume keys and close the flip, the connection will be maintained, i think?

I bought the T 28 as a "New in Box" item from E-Bay, so it is mint, the slim battery is included, along with the charger and a case. I must have caught the SE fever because I found another T 28 new in box and purchased it also, so now I have a spare. There seems to be a lot of the older T 28 models available at auction, it must have been either really popular or unpopular for there to be so many in the auction system.
I have not received either of my T 28’s yet so I have tried to learn as much about the phone as possible by downloading the manual in PDF form and reading. Although the display is smaller and one color, the menus seem to be laid out the same as with my Z600. It also s
I never use Internet on a phone, I find the whole thing ridicules, how can anyone truly use or enjoy the Internet on a screen that small? I had a T-Mobile Sidekick and had full data and Internet services on it and still found it tedious to read a web page, that’s why I sold it and went back to a traditional phone (Z600), and there was also the fact that the Sidekick kept me “To Connected” I had my work and personal e-mail forwarded to the Sidekick, so I was checking it all the time, like there is really something so earth shattering that will happen between the time I leave work and go home to my computer, if I have need for contact that bad, I can give someone my cell number and have them call me.
Anyway, back to the T 28, I think it will work great as a change of pace from the Z600, who knows, I may really like it and sell the Z600, although I do use that camera once and a while… and that’s why I was wondering about the headset, I try to use a headset whenever possible and was just wondering if the flip can be closed when the headset is plugged in, it would just make the T 28 a little more pocketable when on the headset.
