Im really curious if there is an application for p910i to act as a remote control. Not the "a-few-inches-away" remote control application called "psiLoc".
An appllication that can act as a normal remote!..
Enlighten me

Nope, not anything to do with programming just the transmitter is too damn weak to be not effective unless a couple inches away or perfectly in line.

transmitter is hardware based not software based. Sure a software can control how far the signal is going (psiloc pro does that) but even when the device is on it's strongest setting your not gonna get anything better than what psiloc have already given us. Do a search for switchbitch he tried to solve this problem.

which version do you use on your p910 because I have got my p900 flashed to a p910 and I've tried a few versions of this remote control app and all say not supported when i try to run it. Used to work fine on the p900 firmware.

I am not sure but because the infared on the pxxx is irda compatible thats why you cant get a signal from far. Unlike the other remote controls which are not based on this protocol they can send signals from quite far.
