I would NOT like a pope from India, or any other countries from Africa. Pope should be from any of the countries from Europe, where there has been a long be strong history of the Christianity and the 'State'. Reason, India, is predominantly a Hindu based country and a pope from such a country will just be unfair and awkward to other christian based countries and christianity as such.

Govi, india might be predominantly hindu, but first and foremost, it is a secular nation. A pope from India would be a boost to its secular credentials. And electing a pope isn't a battle of nations. I won't mind which nationality the pope is.

One of them was black...all i could do was laugh...
The next pope will be from europe for sure, in europe the predominant religion is cathlic or cristianity, a tiny irrelevant difference, compared to cathlic and muslim... So no, the pope will not be african! Nor indian... Sorry guys!

Black pope just doesnt sound right. All of the Blacks and some of the Indian Christians are converts. not really in the blood. if you know what i mean. that is why i said the next pope should be from Europe.
