i have a 3.5mm to 2.5mm converter so that i can use my headphones with my z1010 to listen to music. i just thought i should inform other z1010 users that if they do this, the phone will automatically answer any phone call and then immediately hang up. i dont know if this is the same for any other phones with 2.5mm headphone ports.

What's wrong with the included hands-free headset?

You'd be surprised just how high-quality it is...

i dont think it matters how old it is, i think it is to do with the markings on the connector on each headset.

and cybacowboy, i agree, the headset is good, but it just seems weird listening to music in public with my SE headphones.

Another thing you should know is that you cant use a "normal" SE stereo handsfree with the Z1010. The ones that I got with the Z1010 is almost broken and I was looking for new ones. But the ones that you connect under the phone can't be stereo because both will not work.

What about the Sony Ericsson Bluetooth MP3 Hands-free Kit accessory?

Although I don't own one and I've never actually used one, I get the impression that the stereo headphones that are a part of this accessory can be used to listen to the audio from a phone's built-in media player and/or FM radio...

Plus, you get the added benefit of a funky-looking stand-alone MP3 player that can listen to the music on your compatible phone from up to 30 feet/10 meters (60 feet/20 meters if you're using a Z1010) away!
