best thing to do is try it all out and browse the settings first, most of the defaults are quite safe, with most things being set to 'prompt'.
great browser, good luck!

Not that I know of, but I know how to make it quicker if you're on broadband...
1. Type in the address bar: "about:config" (without the " marks)
2. Scroll down to "network.http.pipelining" and click it to set it to "true"
3. Just below it is "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests". Click it and change it to "30" (Just an arbitrary figure, but I find it works quite nicely)
4. Below that again "network.http.proxy.pipelining" needs to be set to true again.
After that, just close that window and your browser will be a fair bit faster to load pages

. Enjoy.
Oh and by the way, that works on all copies of Firefox

The single best way of making browsing with Firefox even more safe is to run it on Mac OS X not Windows.

Jesus, you sound like you're starting a religion! I can't really talk tho, as I'm using firefox on a mac now

.
But given the choice, I'd still go with PC, but lets keep that to one of the many "I've got an ibook/mac mini/white-plastic-piece of junk" threads

u should get the max requests according to your connection speed. quicker connection = more requests and vice versa

Adblock (block adverts):

Flashblock (block Flash animations, click the button to show them)

Lots more: click Tools then Extensions then "Get More Extensions" in the bottom right.
