I have made a video with virtual dub using the 3ivx codec and when i open it in the mobile with smartmovie it displayes this message:

"No codecs for video format 3ivx.Download from lonelycatgames"

But i have already downloaded and instellad the codecs.What else could be wrong?

Have you installed This Codec (right click save as) onto your phone

Yes i have.Although when i made 3ivx with smartmovie it did play on my mobile but making 3ivx with vdub it doesn't!Any ideas?

I have also tried makig 3ivx films to play on the phone with other programs, i have managed to get video without audio.. but never had it properly working. Smartmovie converter is the only one that has ever made a working 3ivx film which plays properly on the phone.

I have never used 3ivx with VirtualDub so i cant help you with that

@Madbob

You say you can get VirtualDub to output the video but no sound

Did you pick the audio from the audio settings and choose the sample rate and hrz

I think u can saveurself a lot of time encodong them with the SMovie encoder.I do that and works great. This message was posted from a WAP device

I didn't use Vdub when I did that, I havent tried to Convert to play directly on the phone with V dub yet.., when I did it it was with Mpeg direct maker.

I do use VDub to convert to my video into 3ivx though and output the audio in mono sound, but then i convert it again with SmartMovie converter.
