Hey guys I've been curious lately as to what the little round golden connector is for in the back of my phone is for. See I would've looked it up but i have no clue what its called but i think that it might be for an external antennae which leads me to my second question, will the anteanne extend just the phone's signal or would it somehow help bluetooth? is there any way to increase the bluetooth signal even if it requires soldering/modifying/prying it open? K well thanks anyone that can help

Yup, the gold connector on the back of your p-series phone is a connector for an external antenna. And it will not increase the range of the bluetooth module in your phone.
As far as i'm concerned there's nothing that can increase the range of the bluetooth module in your phone.

But you can increase range of your bluetooth dongle, with the same result. This has been mentioned before, try searching for ' increase bluetooth range'

BTW, Rul missed out on the fact that the external antenna is connected through the use of a phone holder; such as the hch-xx series of phone holders for in-car use for the various models. The cable for the external antenna is connected on the holder. So, when you attached the phone to the holder, the golden round part behind your phone is connected to the part of the holder which in turn is connected to the exteranl antenna...
