I have used Flashplayer, sorry I dont know where I got it. It was ok but any flash file with sound just plays static instead of the sound.

as mentioned u can buy the flash lite player at the rmacromedia store. Its not really meant for end users, more for developers. It is also different to the implementation of flash lite for the v800. The series 60 and UIQ version of flash lite only operates in standalone mode - so that means no screensaver, wallpaper or browser.
Down the line flash lite will be part of the series 60 3rd edition - there maybe be screensavers etc in that implementation.

doesn't really make sense to include flash in the symbian system since .swf files and other flash files are copyrights of Macromedia. Including support would mean paying royalties and that means a more expensive system. There are plenty of other well compressed animated image filetypes that are not copyrighted.

well nokia have licensed it and taken on the cost because it sees a value in it for end users. Its not so much about animation but also about interactivity and user experience.
Symbian wont license it, no probably not, its something for the manufacturers to decide if they want it. To that end most leading manufacturers have already licensed it.
There are not plenty of alternatives to Flash Lite on phones either, the only real competitor is SVG tiny, but really i cant see that moving forward as effectively as FL, its just not that easy for people to make content and from what I have seen the file sizes are massive compared to the flash equivilent.
Also note that macromedia does not own the copyright as such on the swf files themselves, the swf file format is free.

Thanks for all the replies. Too bad its not working because I would have loved to see that screensaver with time adjustment work on the big screen of the p910.
We will see if the next Pxxxx will have that or not.
Best regards!
