i have a few mp4s that i want to crop so that it will fit for play on my p800.
first off, what is the correct dimensions for the videos so they will fit on my p800 screen? (if this is possible?)
secondly, i have a copy of FFmpegX for mac OS X which i have used to try to shrink the mp4's to fit on my phone. i drop the mp4 into the encoder, use the drop down menu to encode it into a smaller mp4 using a 160x120 setting. the cropping works BUT the audio is in ssslllllooooowwww mooooottttiiiioooon making a 20 minute video clip into a 30+. :-\ so is it possible to put the mp4 on my p800 and play it using the phones video player? if so, any fellow OSx X users get this to work? ive tried a few audio settings as well (tinkering with the sampling rates like 22khz and 44khz) but nothing works. the audio is still in slow motion. well, thanks for the help!

The resolution in full screen is 320 x 208.

I've done some math for you!

If you are converting files with a 4:3 aspect ratio (TV), the resolution should be 277 x 208 for full screen, or 208 x 156 for flip closed.

If you are converting files with a 16:9 aspect ratio (WideScreen), the resolution should be 320 x 180 for full screen, or 208 x 117 for flip closed.

About your problem, I suggest you try to drop the number of frames per second. The phone can not handle 25 or 30 frames per second. Try reducing it to 12, 15 fps or something like that.

well my problem is mostly with the audio, not so much with the screen size. the audio tends to be in slow motion relative to the video or it just stops. this what happens while playing on my P800. hmm... any clues what i need to do to fix the sound problem?

Use quicktime pro, you can get a license for it (and any other mac product under the sun) from limewire, just search for serialbox
