My P910i is voda branded

ive just updated the firmware on it using the online updater service. wat i thought of when i was doin it is why does it ask for the CDA number? Wat i was thinking was is that CDA number specific to each branding that they put on? like is all the unbrandad phones the same and all the voda ones a different number but all the same as each other?
So wat i was wondering is could u get a CDA from someone who has a unbrandad P910i and put that in instead of yours, so it downloads the firmware that would go on the unbranded fone to your branded one. I.E. free debrand?
just tell me if im being stupid but was just a idea.

its a little less simple than that.it only asks you to enter cda number in order to show you info on latest version etc! how ever im working on a technique that may well work its along the lines of your thinking except you simply get the unbranded files from someone wiv unbranded phone n then rename them to the same as your files n this tricks it into flashing the wrong version if you follow. pseries.worm.me.uk for more.info
