I know this has been covered to death but isnt it so depressing how operators are allowed to just cripple phones for their benefit. I went from having a t610 on orange which apart from their stupid animations and minimal branding was left fairly intact to a t630 from tmobile. They have not screwed it up too much except for changing the options shortcut on the main screen to their stupid tzones. I dont want to access their dumbass site. I cant even do it anyway with my US prepaid sim.
Then why do they also fill up the precious little memory there is with those stupid animations. And weirder still why do they always leave a couple of those stupid black and white graphic images on the phone and make them non-deleteable. I really dont care to have a stupid heart or something on my phone. I can delete the picture of an icecream, why not the heart? I am sure its just programmes laziness or something..
evry frustrating.
I dont supposed anyone ever managed to find a way to get rid of all that operator branding crap and restore it back to its original glory

Yes, just change firmware and stupid menus go. He you think orange and t-mobile are bad what would you say for voda then? I'm just wondering what is their benefit to put those crippled firmware? This message was posted from a T610

In South Africa we don't have any branded handsets...just graphics that can't be deleted. This message was posted from a K700i

yeah vodafone i know are the worst. I wouldnt mind if they enhanced it in someway but they put those godawful graphics on. I mean they could at least get some decent designers in to make the handset actually look attractive.
I just peeled off the stupid tmobile sticker from my new t630, just need to scrape the tzone logo off the stupid internet shortcut button on the side. jeez how many shortcuts do we need to go their lame internet wap sites!! I know they want more traffic there but this ist just stupid.

So you think flashing the 630 with new firmware will get rid of the stupid tmobile menu things and shortcuts and restore the softkeys to their original useage?
Any idea how or where I get a phone flashed here in Los Angeles. I know where to do it in UK but not here. Given that this phone has no manuals or anything, much less a warranty.. although I dont know how long the 630 has been in production, i guess if its less than a year then it must be under warranty!

Vodafone suck bad , orange ar'nt too bad but on the menu there is 2 ways to get to orange wap. I bought my k700 from the link and i cant seem to find the warranty but i have the receipt saying i bought it 2 weeks ago, would that count as a warranty ? And what sim would u use, just an orange 1 and it would appear umbranded? Sorry about all the questions , again!
