My Sony k700i is having some serious reception problems. It goes from full bars to 1 bar in matter of seconds. The other day i was trying to change my housing and i did, but after that i have been getting the worst reception known to man. I know its not my service. Can someone plz help me by letting me know any way i can fix this problem or what the problem can be. Thanks..

It could be the reception in your area. This happens often. The operator will reduce the performance of the network sometimes.
Second, no need to submit the same post more than once.

What the hell does that mean?
Unless, the cover is causing grounding to the antenna, and I am pretty sure that it is not, then the cover is not the issue.
Second, what kind of network is it? GSM 900 or 1800.

The substitute covers may have play in them and may not be holding the phone tightly as it should. Hence the trouble. Putting back oem cover will solve the problem if that is the case.

i was actually pretty effy about putting this housing in. When i ordered it they guy said original se housing, but it turned out to be some plastic generic crap. Now i want to open it back up and fix the problem but i know know which area inside to phone to attack. Im pretty good wiht phone as far as using it and information about it, but nothing when it gets to the inside. Thanks

Put back the original casing and see if the problem disappears.

I tried putting the original casing back in but it changed nothing. As for the network, its not the network for it works on my other phone.
