Dam, lost my K700i Friday night (dont suppose any one here found it in or around the clay oven in Ealing?), The words would you like insurance for your new phone sir are ringing in my ears:-(
Phone was only 10 months old and sim free:-(
Anyway the hunt is on for a new phone, I am prepaired to wait for new models due out, as i can borrow an old handset and get a temorary sim, but wonder what others suggest.
I was considering the Samsung D500, or SE S700i. It may help if i list what i liked in the K700i
MP3 ringtones - this is a definate must have with the ability to set a different ringtone to different people not just groups.
Camera - liked the feature but did not find the k700i camera much use due to quality.
Connectivity - Bluetooth is a must but the k700i did have one or two problems which bugged me.
Memory Capacity was ok, I'm not into the idea of a MP3 player just the feature of having mp3s as ringtones, however if the camera was better this may have been a problem.
PIM - liked the features of the K700i good phone book and calander. the two alrams handy at waking me up.
Battery - sucked on the k700i even with the latest firmware. But then again other phones i owned in the past were worse.
WOW factor - come on i'm the person who has the best toys, people copy me, the k700i was good, and several people got one after seeing mine, but now i want to wow them again.
I have considered that a future phone may be handy if it had the ability of sat nav or wify like the SPV M2000 but this is too big, and to be honest i'm more after a phone than PDA. Also none of the orange SPV phones excite me to look at.
So if any of you have suggestions then i would welcome them.
Also as the sim card in my k7ooi was provided by work, and i am about to change jobs and will loose this i am on the look out for one of these phones ona contract, seem to remember pepople complaining that some k700i features were not initially available on vodaphone branded k700i's so if anyone knows of problems or were i can get a good deal on a new contract (i take a lot of calls but make few calls) this would also be handy.

Z800? Or you could wait for the K600 which should fit your requirements.

Hmm, nice phones just i dont like the look of them, i am now leaning to K750i, as i did like my k700i, this is almost the same but better camera, and memory slot, and a bettery battery:-)
Just don't know how long i can hold out for, when are these due out in the uk?
Otherwise it may be down to the s700i, better camera, and a memory slot. Just that i heard reports of these crashing. Is this resolved and if so anyone have any bluetooth issues? Or i could go for the samsung someone at work has one of these so i will have a look at it tomorrow.
If i can hold out then i think the k750i is the one i want, but if not then any one had any experience with both the samsung and s700i? Which do you prefer?

Don't know anything about Samsung apart from the fact that they're all bling. K750 should be out towards the end of next month if some Esato members can be believed.

I am getting excited about the k700i, and it does look like its out next month on orange.
I wonder if the following features will be available?
Use mp3's as sms alerts.
Java access to IR (would love to control the tv from the phone).
Fix to all the bugs k700i suffered.
