depends on the size and complexity of your .gif file really.

When you draw all the frames from scratch I'd say it's fairly ocmplicated, when you use frames from a movie or still images it's not too hard. What animation software do you use? And what image editor?

Currently i'm using photoshop cs and image ready, although not very well. I want to create a theme of my football team with their logo spinning or swirling or something of that nature.

Well in image ready each frame of the animation corresponds to (one or more) layer in your image.

So first you need to create an image with the logo on photoshop, then twist it and turn it as you wish (each rotation on a different layer!) and once your happy with that, export to Image Ready and animate

Good luck
