I'm a p910 owner, and happy with it. But mobiles are advancing rapidly, and I want to know just what phones are 'better' than the p910. Surely the p910 is one of the best?

A lot of people are telling me otherwise, which I dont want to beleive...

what other phones are better/competing with the p910 - and what features make them viable competitiors. Also how long do you reckon the p910 will be 'good' for? Im under a 18 month contract, so im guessing by month 12, it'll be pretty old and backward...

common p910 lovers, reassure me about our phones!

A very impressive thing about the P900 that many people don't seem to notice is the battery power. First off, they of course are phones that are more feature-rich than the P900 such as the XDAII and MPX300, but they battery life kinda sucks... They can be completely drained rather quickly even under very light usage... It's almost like a laptop that cannot run for more than an hour when it's away from the plug!! it kinda defeats the purpose of "mobility"...

New phones have 3G, and people care about that a lot. But maybe not for me... simply because I live in Canada, and we seem to be technically behind every other country in terms of cellphone services, so 3G may never be here, who knows. In UK, however, not having 3G is a different story!!

Phones with WIFI, this I find is actually quite important, too bad we can't see this happen on our PXX. WIFI is good because GPRS is way too expensive.

Camera: PXX's camera, at least mine, isn't very impressive, but sufficient. I don't believe in multi-mega-pixel cameras... even if you take a picture at 5, 6MPixels, you only view it at 1280x1024 or 1024x768, which makes the extra mega-pixels kind of useless. Plus, if you use these "pixels" for printing the photos, it's just way more expensive than developing films... So a camera with 1280x1024 resolution with a sufficiently good quality, can almost make a cellphone replace a camera!! So... p900 is close, but not quite there yet... 640x480 is somewhat too small... but 1MP would be just optimal. Instead of having too many MPs, they should focus on the quality of the camera at 1MP...

Processor: well, this is as fast as things go, different processor speeds for different phones shouldn't be that much of a problem... People buy laptops knowing that they're gonna be slower than a desktop, but what comes is the mobility. Even among laptops of different speeds, they feel approximately the same (everything is pretty much limited by the harddrive speed)... our little Pxxx, the apps that it runs are small (efficient), so not much power is needed

all-in-all, p900/910 will still be a GREAT phone this year (until 3G comes to Canada)... and still, one of the very important things i look for in a phone is battery life... that comes first b4 i consider anything else.. (of course it's gotta be feature rich, i'm a gadget freak)

Is it enough to say its very good.

I have similar worries. 3G wont feature in my market for a while. I hope the 910 will be current enough to sell and more on to its replacement.

it is basically a good phone but of course there are rooms for improvement. (no such thing as a perfect phone anyway).

why you need a good camera for a P910i? The current one not enough?

P910i is more powerful then what you can imagine

now 0.3MP is not that enough, if have 1MP is fine, really fine, other function ( add on games + applications ) is really so great.
