> Opera doesn't work with Vodafone!
Bookmark topic
Hi, I just downloaded Opera 6.32 for my p910i. However, I can not connect to the internet. I have no problem opening a page in the build in browser.
From SE page, For network settings, do not use the same access point as the built in WAP-browser. Opera will not work if connected to a WAP-gateway. Instead, set up an access point directly to the internet. The settings should be identical to what the email client on the P910 will use.
I have set up Wap and MMS with the auto settings from SE.
How do i create a new internet account if SE said I need a different account than the one for WAP.
Thanks!!!

Well you do need a full access to the internet plan with your provider. Wap only will not do.

I moved from Vodafone to O2 last year. Back then, the APN for Internet access was 'internet'. No username or password were needed. Vodafone did start blocking direct access to the net. You have to call them to get it unblocked. Searching the Vodafone web site for internet access settings produced the following:
To use the Vodafone Internet Access service, you will need to enter the following details:
Information field: Enter this information:
Phone number: *99#
APN: Internet
User name: web
Password: web
Obtain DNS addresses automatically (Tick)
The user name and password are case sensitive, so please enter them exactly as shown above.
The exact sequence of steps you follow to enter this information will depend on the device that you're using - your user manual will give you full details.
