@masseur

any problems with your jam? my carrier is giving me an xda mini so i'll get to try it out soon.

i'm a bit concerned tho about stuff i've read on other forums about constant resets, losing data on the SD card, and especially losing all data when the battery is taken out. the last one is especially disconcerting since i switch phones a lot and it would be a pain to have to do a full backup each time i pull the SIM out.

are those unusual incidents that i've read about? how is the stability of WM 2003?

thanks a lot, and great seeing you around again!

I'm very happy with my JAM

I have noticed once only that my SD card was wiped and was a little surprised but fortunately I keep a backup of each of my cards on my pc so it was easy to fix. It has not happened since I applied the last firmware update but I have no idea whether that fixed this issue

if you take the battery out the built in backup battery certainly does not last very long. After 30 minutes I put the main battery back in and checked the backup battery status and it was already down to 25% left

WM2003SE is very stable. I was using it on my ipaq 4700 before getting the JAM. I can tell you that where I have always had to soft reset my ipaqs every one or two days, I rarely soft reset the jam. occassionally the wifi card does not activate correctly when inserted but a soft reset sorts that problem and I would attribute that to the sandisk driver rather than the O/S

the JAM is my number 1 phone with the V3 being number 2 (for my german sim card) and I cannot see my changing that unless a new JAM comes along or a new V3 though I am expecting to get the SE K750 when that becomes available so I'm not sure how I will position that in my lineup

hope the mini works out for you!
