Hi, Im planning on buying the terminator dongle but i have a few questions that needs to be answered.

How long does it take to update my t610's firmware to the latests one (currently mine is R1L)???

How safe is it doing it myself and what are the possibilities that i can stuff up the fone?

Thnx

It will take about 10-15 minutes to do the flash. R1L is old! As I'm sure you know, your T610 will really benefit from an update.

It's very unlikely that you'll mess it up. I flashed about 5 T610s with a terminator dongle and had no problems. At the end of the day, it's only software so you can't actually ruin the phone. You'll always be able to to another flash if one gets messed up.

it takes about 5mins to upgrade. And i challenge you to scew it up - very very hard to do. Infact only way to kill a phone is with hammer or brick etc.

Since R1, there were a LOT of changes! Just take my word for it: upgrading from R1L to R6C or R7A will make it significantly better.

You may wish to have a look at my T610 / T630 firmware overview post:

R1L is the second firmware to be released for the T610 so you should find a notable difference between that and R6D000.
