I was transferring a file to my new P910i with my bluetooth dongle, but its fastest transfer rate is 9.9 KBps. with my S700i, it can get around 28 KBps. is there a reason for this that anyone is aware of?

if you put your BT with p910i near enough you will have stronger signal then you can transfer faster

The speed i get from my mac to my phone is usually ~18kbps... so the problem must be on your computer!

AFAIK, the maximum theoretical rate for BT is 720 kbps or 90 KBps

Note the "b" and not "B". Kbps means 1000s of bits per second, KBps means 1000s of bytes per second, 8 times greater than Kbps...

I think there are newerand faster BT standards coming along soon, but I don't know the specs.

Note that 1 kilobyte = 1024 bytes!
Just to make sure your calculations are calculated corectly (no pun intended )
