Ok guys n gals - here's a tricky one for you...

I have a k700i which wont allow me to set mp3 files as ringtones, not even the mp3s that came installed as standard! When i select USE it just says CANNOT USE THIS FILE - why why why ??? !!! Maybe it just cant be done, and the k700i can only play them as audio files (as if using the phone as a portable mp3 player) and use of them as tones is prohibited? Well ive no idea - does anyone else?

Try a software update

I've got a k700i on vodadfone uk and i had the same problem, i've just had my firmware updated and now when i use the SE DRM packer i can transfer any mp3 from my pc to my phone and set it as a ringtone.

Thanks for the input mv4f, but how do you get the update? Ive discovered that the firmware on my phone is the most basic version (RNA..something or other) so the drm packager wont work for it anyway. Glad you posted a message as i was just about to give up! I see a light at the end of the tunnel - at last!
