I am wondering if by getting 256MB MS for P900 in place of 128MB and have software installed and run, will it be faster? Is the larger memory space (MS) has the impact on the installed software to run better or faster? Any guru on this?

hi
first i'm not a guru
but i dont think that it will increase the p900 speed coz it's not ram, just space.. it's like if you put a bigger harddisk in your pc it wont' accelerate it, but if you put some ram it will... unfortunately u cannot upgrade ram in the p900..
hope it helped..
bye.

1. I don't think anything would be faster.

2. That doesn't matter anyway, because a P900 can't take a 256 stick (unless you've had P910 firmware put onto it). P900 can only take MS Duo (which only go up to 128) NOT MS Duo Pro.

Lol this cracks me up.

The phone has an Internal Memory Drive and the Memory available on the MemoryStick. This is the same sort of storage as a harddisk in your PC, think of the Internal Memory as the C: Drive and the MemoryStick as the D: Drive (for example a re-writeable CD-ROM)

The memory the phone uses to run programs (or that your PC uses to load up Windows into) IS NOT the same memory!!

It doesn't matter if you store your files and folders on the C: Drive or the D: Drive, it has no effect at all on the Memory installed in your PC, nor in your Phone!

People who don't store stuff on the Internal Drive believing it "gives them more memory" don't understand the way their phone works. P800/P900 phones have 16meg of RAM (Random Access Memory), the P910 has 32meg. Even if you fill up your Internal Drive storage, it does not affect the RAM available to your phone!

The stuff I store on my Internal Drive are program I use all the time, and want to be running when I eject the memory stick. You've got memory there on your Internal Drive, you might as well use it!!
