I currently have a T-Mobile HP 6315 WM phone (grossly unreliable and a terible phone) and an Audiovox SMT5600 WM Smartphone (great phone and OK organizer). The great feature that these 2 phones share is the ActiveSync function with our corporate MS Exchange Server 2003. I'm looking at purchasing a 910a, but need to know if there is a built-in functionality or a 3rd-party software solution to allow the 910a to access my e-mail. Any assistance will be appreciated.

It should be possible with the P910's email client. This supports IMAP and it is in theory possible to access an Exchange server using IMAP. See this article http://www.msexchange.org/tut[....]nts_To_MS_Exchange_Server.html This all assumes that the Exchange server is accessible from the Internet and that the phone has access to the Internet.

It has pop3/imap client. works without problem. even many old featured phones have the capability to access Exchange mail system. This message was posted from a T68

well you can setup your exchange server to the following address http://xxxserver.website.com/oma
I access this way my corporate e-mail with my P900. It is only text based, but the newer phones and software should include more functionality.

Have this setup for a couple of clients using imap ... just remember to enable imap on the exchange server as it is not usually on by default.

Also remember to configure your firewall.

For anyone else out there who is trying to do this in the uk, there is definately an issue with vodafone - maybe they are port blocking?

I have a P910i and it doesn't work with my company's oma. Not sure if the P900 is different for some reason or it's just the setup of the exchange server, but I get an error on the page saying I'm not using a supported client when I try to get to the oma site. It does this with the standard browser and Opera.

That product is supposed to become available in May so I'm waiting for that to sync my e-mail.

Not sure if anyone has tried this roadsync software yet, but I'm giving it a try and failing miserably. Anyone have any luck with it? I can't seem to connect to my exchange server even though I can see two windows based phones and a treo650 connecting fine.

Why don't you use Profimail? It works fine via MS exchangeserver 2003 via IMAP. I've been using this for a long period of time and it works perfectly.

My company doesn't have the IMAP port open to the exchange server. Everyone else syncs their mail with activesync. I'm just using a non-standard phone in the company.
