Ok, so this is the story. If anyone can help me or direct me to a thread where I can get the info that would be great... My friend from Japan said he would said be a V802SE in white from vodafone. He'll cancel the contract, and in total itll end up costing with $100 USD for the phone... Anyways, I want to know is what I need exactly to 1) unlock the phone, and 2) debrand it

I have heard many things... I have heard I can go buy a T28 service cable and then use a program to unlock it, using credits and SETools (where do I get these credits, are they expensive?). And for the firmware I heard I can just use another program (Davinci or something), and then I can just get the firmware files and flash them to debrand it? What is the cheapest method for doing these two things... if necessary I will only unlock it, it all depends on how annoying I find the vodafone branding and restrictions. Thanks!

P.S. Im looking for the method that is cheapest (is it possible to be free for these?)

You can unlock it with www.totalmultiserver.com

However you cannot unbrand it if you want to keep Japanese langauge. If you are not worried about lossing japanese you may flash Z800 firmware to the phone to unbrand it. (if you need to keep japanese you can flash it with V802 files which will remove DRM lock)

All I know how to debrand and unlock is Z600 and below

It is not free - you will need 2 credits for Unlock and unbrand. www.davinciteam.com is also good.

Also, what is it going to cost me in total approximately to unlock and debrand this phone? Do you need credits for unlocking and flashing? Or just the unlocking?

how much is 1 credit and what can it do for me?

hi,

you can unlock (1 credit) and debrand/flash to any eu version (1 credit) with davinciteam.com

check out the manual at their website for details and instruction.
