you cannot use basic gprs with opera... Opera can be used only for sufing the net via your PC's internet connection via bluetooth or The Sync Station... Or else u could cntact your network provider and switch to advanced gprs.

Use Search - This has been discussed before many times.

I find opera too buggy. I'm satisfied with netfront. have you tried it?

I say stick with the default browser. The improvements offered by Opera are limited at best. I have never tried NetFront, but haven't wanted to either.

@supastar33

if your using basic or WAP GPRS then you need to go to the preferences in opera and configure the same proxy server and port as the GPRS (which can be found in control panelconnections internet accounts or something like that). Once this is done close opera and disconnect from GPRS or dial-up if you have an ongoing connection, then go to opera and try to open up www.yahoo.com for example and then opera will ask to chose the connection. chose it then press connect and it should work. hope this helps

I have only t-zones and can connect to the web using Opera. Just set the proxy setting in Opera and it should work fine. I only have t-zones and not the $20 internet access.

Yeah, opera is like firefox in that you need to set the proxy settings in-browser.

And it DOES work for basic GPRS, its all I use!
