Hi everyone,
Im sure this topic must have been posted a 1000 times already so my apologies. I am using SMAN for bluejacking but want to know if its possible to send pictures or MMS in the same way SMAN sends out vCard? I realise I can send 1 at a time but I need for the phone to keep sending out repeatedly. I work for a band ans we have a huge gig coming up on Monday so it would be perfect advertising if this were possible.

Thanks for the quick reponse. I thought they may have been alternative software or a sman hack which would allow me to send either a full vcard or image/mms to all phones repeatedly until i told the phone to stop sending.
I want to walk around the venue for the bands gig with the phone in my pocket and just let the phone send out image/mms flyers which has a photo of band. Is this all making sense?

I think that falls under Spam, but ok...
I was thinking of taking a picture of someone, then sending them the pic without them even knowing I was there

It probably does fall under spam but sending vCards via sman isn't that different. Im just trying to come up with creative ways of grabbing peoples attention. you could also say the same thing about SmartAdds which are soon to surface on Gizmondo.
Id just love to know if there is a way to do what I want to do, and especially as I have a day to get it sorted. Sending out the bands web address with sman at present just doesnt really achieve the effect Im after.

The new beta versions of SMan absolutely can send image files or vcards instead of just a predefined message. I don't know the limitations on file size or anything like that, but I am sure you could make a decent looking flier that is small enough to send. The problem would just be that it takes a lot longer to send an image than a vcard, plus you want to do it multiple times.

Nice one Knight. Thanks for letting me know. Do you where a beta version would be available? Im using 1.3 at the moment. Also, what are peoples opinions on what I'd like to do? Do you think its a bad idea? Im just interested in hearing peoples reactions. Thanks again Knight.

I'd like to get this beta too, and I wouldn't mind getting a message like that, I was just speaking legally, rather thand saying that it'd annoy me.
Oh and will the new Sman make the image appear on-screen?

the latest version is 1.4 beta 8. I picked it up at my-symbian.com forums. Unfortunately you can't post files in this forum, but in those forums you can. Look for the SMan 1.3 thread and browse the pages near the end.
Also, I have no idea if it will make the file pop open or not. To be honest I have never actually had anyone bluejack me, although I have done it to a few people I know. I would assume it gives the little pop-up notice that the file transfer is complete and gives the option to view now.
