help! se update update service wont let me get pased the bit after u download the service thing.my s700 is unbranded.wat could b rong?

However, as a starting point, 1. try to disable your firewall, 2. use either Netscape or Opera as your web browser, 3. try the search feature.

The update service sometimes has a problem if the firewall is up. Try these:
1. Close the firewall.
2. Once it is closed, then start the update service. This way all the processes are closed.
3. If you can use Netscape or Opera, or Firefox, as they run Java much better than MSIE.
Now if that does not work, try to de-install the service application and then re-install it and try with the procedures above.
One other question: Are you using a proper Sync Station or are you using a USB/Serial cable? Updating will only work with the Sync Station.
