Hello,

I was wondering if anyone here is pretty familiar with Flash MX. I downloaded a theme from Zedge, http://www.zedge.no/?side=themes&getlogo=20170

I'm not too familiar with using flash so any help on this would greatly be appreciated. I know the theme is for a Z1010 but it works just fine for the V800/Z800.

What I wanted to do was make the .gif image used for the standby screen to a flash document to be used for the external wallpaper. When I open the .gif file in Flash MX 2004 and then resize it to 80X101 for the external screen and transfer and asign it to external wallpaper, the image is much too small and appears only on the top left corner and it's not filling the screen. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

What I really wanna do is learn how to use flash, but getting this to work for now is fine.

If there is anyone that is talented enough to use Flash MX and wouldn't mind making a tutorial on it, it would be greatly appreciated. What I really wanna do as an idea for a standby or wallpaper screen is have the SE Ball Morph out from a black/dark grey background, and have each letter of my name look like it's being hammered out from the background towards you, one by one. Is all this possible with flash? If it is, could someone write a tutorial or point towards the right direction to learn?

you could ask the theme maker.
but if it's something you want to learn...

1. first extract the animated GIF and save.
2. create a new file in Flash.
3. click Modify/Document. resize to 80x101.
4. click File/Import (select your animated GIF).
5. each frame of the GIF becomes a bitmap in Flash.
6. resize the bitmaps to 80x101.
7. click File/Export Movie.

that's it!

Thanks, I'm at work right now, so I'll try that out in the morning.

BTW, any chance you would be so kind to tell me how to make annimated Text. Like have the text come from the left or right or both sides and move smoothly into place? from Flash: help/tutorials is the best way. or search the web for .FLA files or goto places like flashkit.com (for example) and analyze how other people made their movies. if all else fails take a class!

If the z1010 and vz800 accept flash the K750i can ??? And what is the advantage of flash instead of gif ??? I am french can you use easier english please

flash movies are much better quality than .gif files becuaese .gif files only support 256 colours.

ext = .fla, or maybe .swf and u need flash to make it alltho i cant really see that the differance in quality between flash and gif on a mobile screen will really be any diferant

Depends on what sort of mobile you have, the colour difference is quite visible on my V800

Can you set .swf files for external wallpaper as well?
