Hi all,

I have a P900 for just over a year now, and never had any problems with it until the last few days. Since Friday when I touch a specific part of the screen (about 1cm x 1cm in size) instead of the particular item being selected, an item far below is selected. I used the service menu to test the screen, and when I touch that specific are, instead of a small dot, I see a line starting from nearly the bottom of screen up to the point I touched! I have already tried calibrating the screen and hard reset, but didn't have any luck! Is there anything else I could do, or is my screen permanently gone? Do you think a live update would help or is it a waste of time? I have been using a screen protector since day, so there are no scraches on the screen, and have never droped the phone before.

Any ideas?

Thanks

well, by the sound of it, it does seem your screen may have been damaged... try removing the screen protector and trying again.. maybe some unnoticed fold in it might have developed..
Or else highly likely your screen might have been cracked.. take it to a SE service centre and get it checked out.. i don't think a software update would fix it such a kind of problem..

Thanks for your answers. Indeed the online update did not help! Off to the service centre then!
