I was thiking about something...

When in Sman v 1.3c I look at free memory on my P900 it says 31% and when I click on the bar it says: 5100KB / 16384 KB.

If I then go to the filemanagement than is installed as standard it says I have used 46% and have 8,5 MB avaliable...

?¿?

Hmm I think I trust the standard programs more since they're tested before worldwide release (Sman is too and therefore I think the answer to my question perhaps is that Sman shows the free space of what it is allowed to see?¿?)

Here is my theory. The filemanager shows the 16MB ROM part, which matches the storage manager, while the Sman shows the 16 MB RAM part.

SMan shows you how much free RAM you have.

FileManager shows you how much space you have on your Internal Storage Device (Or Internal Memory as it's also called)

RAM is Random Access Memory. Every time you turn off your Phone, the RAM is cleared. Think of it like the memory in your computer, and the hard disk in your computer. SMan is showing how much free memory your computer has, FileManager is showing how much free HardDisk space you have.

I can't believe how many posts I read on the forum here that think these two (RAM and Internal Storage Memory) are the same thing, they're not.

What ResidentEvil posted is correct.
