nec released pics of a new touchscreen, with what looks like a new version of uiq on it. anyone got anymore info on it?

well that article at clubsonyericsson clearly mentions its UIQ 3 which has been mentioned here on Esato many times

I'd say it looks like an old version of UIQ except for that strange menu on the left. It still has the P800 battery and clock icons. Also the screen looks a little wider than the current P910 screen.

It has the P900 clock and battery, not the P800 the P800 clock is pink . And this strange menu is Magic Luncher.

And hey, I got the same screenshot from my P910i!

if you look at the screenshot by the original poster it does have the pink clock and the funky looking battery. Yours has the P900/910 icons.

Its just a UIQ 2 menu. The menu on the left is Magic Launcher. I know because i use it myself.
