Well folks after around 8 hours i admit it. today i made a massive mistake..... i bought a samsung e720 thinking it could replace my s700i. Why i hear u ask? or is it just myself i hear screaming inside my head as i write this. Well i thought the phone looked pretty cool, was always a fan of the e700 looks so no suprise there. Then i thought, hey it has most of the features that my s700i has, bluetooth, mp3 player, a bit more memory and that was what swayed it. Unfortunately after a few hours of using the phone, i believe i am sick of it (is this because i've had a sony ericsson ever since the T68i days?????, am i really so tied into the 1 mobile company now like all those nokia people that i myself have tried and succeeded to convert on many occassions??
Well after my day test drive with the phone i can say that yes it looks good, but its menu, how i miss the sony menu! Also wats up with the colour screen??? they say its the same quality as the s700i, yet the pictures i transferred looked all fuzzy and blurry (was so disappointed my this stage). Then the phonebook layout, no where near as clear and easy to use as my trusted s700i. Then came the texting fiasco, you have to turn on predictive texting every bloody time! as well as turn off capitals, for the 2nd biggest phone manufacturer to produce something like this is beyond a joke. But wat really did the job, the clarity of the voice call, i actually gave myself a sore head having to concentrate in order to make out what my friends said! All i could hear was wwwwwmmmmmmmmmpppppphhhhhhhhaaaaaa and soo on. So thats it, after the day i completely repent, i will pick up my s700i once again knowing that it least it enjoyable to use as an electronic device as well as a phone. If only sony could put its features into samsungs cool looking phones. would be bliss.

Well what can i say..... its not for people that like to use their phones. I'm kinda disappointed cos i've even sold it to a few people on the basis that it's nice lookin alone. shame on me

ok well i give it a plus on that side, actually did mean to mention it but 4got. The video looks a bit bigger and more close up than the s700i but its quality, esp in low light conditions is very poor. But from lookin at a file i transferred it looks a bit better, not enough to justify a change of phone better though, (more of a huh its a tiny bit bigger, thats cool feelin)

s700i is better in evey other way of using the device. Better menu, has radio, better screen, i can actually make out my friends when i talk to them, better texting system, more customizable (themes etc). And i thought it was bad being limited to sony ericsson's message tones samsung's ones are awful! They r all either a) extremely girly or b) a click sound which i couldnt hear even if i had ears in my pockets.

E720s not THAT bad!

granted it may not be as good as an S700i but if your used to an A800/E700 your gonna think its the best thing since sliced bread!!
