Well, since I'm obsessed with mobile phones especially Sony Ericsson, I wanted to post a few suggestions that would improve the overall acceptance to the phone here in India.

1. Firstly Sony Ericsson has to do much more in developing more models for the lower end market. Most people here go for models below US$120 and the models that SE has provided in this range are simply not worth the competition.

2. The signal holding strength, reception has to be improved even more and should be on par with Nokia or more than Nokia. Only the models after the K700 fare better in signal holding strength and it is still not enough. There is a general view that SE phones are bad in this aspect here in India. I feel reception should be considered one of the prime aspects in the making of the phone. I'm shocked to see my Samsung C100 perform better in holding a signal than my SE K700i. Nokia simply boasts in this field. SE has to improve here dramatically.

3. If SE has any idea of major plans to establish itself here in India, it should first advertise on the features it provides. I somehow did not like the way SE advertises here in India. Some innovative ad should be placed to put SE in the minds of the people. Needs to advertise a lot more.

4. People here generally crave for battery life and rate phones by how long it can be used without charging. They don't get the picture that the more features you give in a phone, the lesser its battery life would be. Either SE should provide a phone that offers tremendous battery life without much features or advertise on its features.

5. Improve customer service here in Chennai atleast. I went through hell just to get my firmware upgraded from Accel and Salora is even worse. Maybe SE should open its own service center once it has picked up.

Sorry if I'm a bit on the boring side guys. Thought I could be of use.

Down Down Nokia.... Up Up SE

You've forgotten to mention se has to make tougher phones like the nokias. Same service centre problems here in Bangalore. This message was posted from a T230

To satan89
I'd like to say that SE phones are real tough. My brother dropped his T610 twice in a bucket of water and my friend dropped his P900 likewise and they all survived. This trait is one of the major reasons why I love SE phones. Though I'm not sure everybody out there escapes unscathed dropping their phones in water

Actually, I'm entirely new to posting on forums. If its not up to the site rules then I'll gladly stop posting in this thread and post elsewhere. Thanks for your comment though. Anyway, how do you know if it has been posted already when there are so many threads out there? Sorry if I've not followed the rules.
