Interoperability
Unlike Nokia's proprietary Picture Messaging standard, MMS has been widely adopted by various phone makers. There were no compatibility problems between the Sony Ericsson T68i and the Nokia 7650.
The screenshots of the phones while being used for MMS are below. As can be seen, the screen quality can differ, but there were no problems with viewing images on either phone. The Nokia 7650, thanks to its larger screen, allows more information to be shown at one time.
Conclusion
There are teething problems to MMS for sure. From the end user perspective, the tedious configuration of the handsets remains an issue. There are also questions lingering over the right operator pricing model, and also the inevitable wait for handset prices to drop and mass market takeup.
But for a new technology, MMS appears to be remarkably well-implemented. It is also evident that the mobile industry--especially the handset makers--is making a concerted effort to make this work. After a string of start-stop initiatives, particularly in GPRS and Wireless Application Protocol (WAP), MMS might be just the catalyst for a winning streak.

i have both the T68i and the 7650 and the mms works fine except for imy files that Ericsson have and Nokia have different ones so the 7650 cant recieve i-melodies and the images on the 650 are either 640x480 or 120x140 as T68i has 101x80,if you try to send lets say a T68 preset mms message the Happy Birthday one the 7650 recieves it as objects and you can only view the images seperatly and you cant hear the birthday melody

Can anyone tell me how to play the melodies that come with the MMS message? Is it possible at all to play them once I open the message?
Thanks and more power!
