I was tinkering around with the file manager in sman and accidentally deleted a couple of files in the mail directory of c drive. Now im not being able to send sms or email. and the sms tab has greyed out....any help or advice would be highly appreciated..
okay..update..i created a new email account and reentered my pop3 settings..and now my e-mail is up. But the sms tab is still greyed out. When i try to send an sms i get an error saying "message centre number not entered. go to cp, click messaging accounts, click the sms tab to enter".....but i cant access the sms tabbbb....pleaaaase help me get this right....

You must be more careful when deleting system files!
However you can't cause any terminal damage. Hopefully you had made a recent backup on the PC so you can restore the phone with that but somehow I'm guessing you didn't! In which case you'll need to do a master reset and/or format the internal drive via the Service Menu.

In future I recommend you keep regular backups and get a better file manager, the one in SMan isn't so good! Check out HandyExplorer, things you delete go to a recycle bin and you can restore them straight back should you find out you shouldn't have deleted it!

Yeah, its a much better file manager and has that extra safety factor of being able to restore deleted items.
Be careful what u remove in future though
