SkyNews report about a chef cleaning behind a freezer when he was biten by a spider.
He took a pic of it with his phone and then rushed to hospital as his hand began to swell where they conacted a zoo who identified the spider as a Brazilian Wandering Spider, whose venom is more potent than a Black Widows. This enabled the hospital to apply the appropriate treatment and save his life!
I'm sure there are many stories like this when phone cameras have been used for more than just happy snaps!

wow, you gotta have your head pretty screwed on to think of taking a pic of it, i would have just paniked and ran up the hospital! on the other hand i dont intend on cleaning behind a fridge ever

not that i dont believe the story,
its hard to take a pic of a spider special if it bit you...
im just saying im not sure what i would have done... take a pic or kill the damn thing.
