lets take the z1010 for example, it is a 3g phone. but will it work if i put my normal o2 sim card in assuming it is unlocked.
i would think it would, howver you woudnt get any video calls.
my question is, does a LG 8120 work on o2 payg, a guy in a phone repair shop told me it woudnt, but i dont trust him.

An LGU8120 will work with a normal O2 2G sim card so long as the phone has been unlocked.

yes if there unlocked but the 3g features will not be there.
you may have to get an 3g o2 sim which i dont think is out on pay as u go yet.
you may also have to change the phone settings
