There's a guy on ebay taking orders for Sony Ericsson's Z800, citing a release date of May 8th. Any opinions on the pricing policy of the networks? I tend to suspect that this phone will have to be priced competitively against Vodafones V800 for it to sell. Does anyone think, like me, that SE have committed a faux pas making the V800 exclusive to Vodafone?

best regards,

Where on ebay did you find that guy? I tried to search but found nothing, do you have a link to that seller?

Regarding the launch date, that seems legit. Start of may is been mentioned before

i think ot was these guys

www.mobilesandbits.com

i emailed and they said may 8th for a release date and send they didnt have a price yet but it would be around £300-£400

i was thinking it would be less considering the v800

what do you think

are they legit, anyone bought from them

I think its just another online company who "claims" to have these models soon. Also noticed Motorola 1010, which according to Motorola is due out Q4, late december....

So I wouldn`t get my hopes up....

Here is ebay link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBay[....]ory=67944&item=5769764824&rd=1 , and you're right miss copperfield, it is mobilesandbits. I cannot understand why SE Ericsson take so long to release handsets on the market. This at the time when their quarterly figures show a massive drop in profits.

I gave my V800 back to Vodafone during it's 14 day return window when I discovered that the Z800 was coming out, and that was in the beginning of February. When the spate of summer releases come out from other manufacturers, the Z800 will lose some of it's appeal (even against the K750 and W800).

Come on SE, pull your finger out!!!!!

miss copperfield,

You think your having it bad. I am stuck with my 3 year old T68i, which refuses to do as I ask it to anymore.

We'll get through this together, okay? Just think about all the things you'll be doing over the next couple of weeks and look forward to them, instead of waiting just for the phone - it might take some of the pain away!!!!

Linear Silver or Titanium Silver?

For me it has to be Titanium Silver.... sooooo cooooooooool!!!!
