I just *gasp* upgraded my P900 to a Treo 650. Someone's offering to trade for a brand new P910.

So I'm wondering excatly what are the pros and cons of each.

Memory

32 MB 64 MB

Winner: Treo 650

Screen

Winner: P910

Input

Having tried both phones, I'd say the Treo 650 wins on this one. The QWERTY keyboard on the P910 is way too flimsy to use properly. The Jog Dial on the P910 is nice, but the Treo has enough buttons to make up for that.

Winner: Treo 650

Connectivity

The Treo 650 wins again here, but just marginally because of it's quadband feature, and the larger antena. Besides that, with some hackery, you can get WiFi on your phone in the form of an SD card with 256 MB to boot.

Winner: Treo 650

Software and OS

I can't comment too much on the OS, because I'm so used to SE's GUI its going to take some time to get used to the Pa1mOne GUI. However, I can say the Pa1mOne OS runs much smoother and is more stable than my P900, and I know there are so much more software titles for Palm than for Symbian. Overall the softer is easier to use, has better integration, and is generally built well. Of course, this is just because of how long Palm has been in the field.

Winner: Treo 650

Other:

With services like integrated Push to Talk, better battery life etc. The Treo definetly wins over the P910 in the "other" section.

So, I think I won't go through with the trade. But what do you guys think?

Treo650: +EDGE capability. P910 +better phone functionality+better Bluetooth connectivity. Prefer the look of Treo over P910, but for sure the manufacturing quality of Treo can not be compared with P series.Also think it will take time for new user to get get familiar with Palm OS.
