Do you think the price of the k700i and the s700i will drop now that the k750i and the w800 are due for release?

that just must happen, k700 will fall, btw how much is it where you're living? in my country is 300€ for full original package or 200€ for vodafone, tim, orange phones - phones that are taken form network, and then flashed.

The price of the K700 is defintely falling...I got mine quite cheap(about US$250) comparing when the phone launched last year.
