As we all know in the US T68i hasn't launch in our market yet. T68i from Asian and European Market will not be compatible with the GPRS and WAP network in the US due to difference in softwares. You would be able to use the voice part but not the data. Unless you strictly use your T68i for voice, regular text and to bling bling, I highly recomend not to purchase out of market phones.

I have a T68m, that I bought in the UK, and it works perfectly fine on Voicestream in the US. I just had it upgraded (with the European software) to the T68i software, and again, it works wonderfully here.

There IS no difference in GPRS standards between the US and Europe.

I just received my T68i from att on the 6th of August 2002. It seems to work great. The only problems that I seem to be having are setting up my mobile.att.net email to be the default email when I want to send a photo out. ATT was to busy at the time to solve my problem! lol I have my email accounts set both my aol account and my ameritech.net account using the web services option. They both work great. I love the bluetooth feature. I transfered pictures, phone numbers and ringtones back and forth with my wifes T68m! This phone rocks, I just cant waite to get the communicam which no one seems to have quite yet! Or the freakin data cable!
Oh, by the way, I am in Southeastern Michigan

Using t68i/VoiceStream.

Can access WAP sites at VoiceStream and their T-Zones, Esato, SonyEricsson, ESPN, Yahoo, Google, and several others, each basically in text mode (haven't seen a pic yet). However, most WAP sites will not work for me. Get Gateway error, etc., or Gateway forbidden, etc. messages.

Neither SE nor VS have been able to help me resolve this issue.
Is it because of incompatible firmware? Or, is it because VoiceStream doesn't have all the kinks out yet?

Any solutions here?

My imported t68i works perfectly with GPRS and WAP. The only problem is that you have to turn off WAP security for some gateways. This is a known bug.
