An ebay seller with a very good rating from Canada is selling P800. I emaild him to ask if he had it in stock and he siad he had many!

Can this be true?

I don't care how good his rating is, P800 was NOT released yet so there is no way he has any stock of it, especially not in Canada. Even if he is not trying to scam you, he'll probably sell you some unsupported buggy prototype which you'd be crazy to buy. Just wait for a couple of more weeks for the official release, what's your hurry?

Yes, this can be true. But the phones he have is not the consumer version. It maybe doesnt have memory stick, guaranty. And :se: may not upgrade it wit future firmware versions, and the current firmware may contain a lot of bugs. So i would not buy it from the ebay guy. This post was posted from a T68i

There are a few prototypes around which have been sold 'under the table' to mobile dealers in Hong Kong, like Soho4. It might well be that SE could use its IMEI to 'switch the phone off' so to speak, but I suppose if you want the latest technology then you take that risk.
