> p900 battery problem solved
Bookmark topic
ive had my p900 for about 1year. replaced twice because of charging problems. (battery would be ok for a month and then die quite rapidly till it would only last a day before switching off with a couple of low battery warnings). I have searched every forum imaginable looking for answers. tried different charging techniques, new batteries and conditioning them different ways. had the reception chip replaced. you name it, I did it. THEN I ACCIDENTALLY DROPPED MY PHONE ON THE GROUND. I had damaged the charge connector on the bottom of the phone. so I took the phone to be repaired at a non SE service centre.
Explained what I had done and asked the guy if he could fix the connector and solve my charge problem as well. He told me that that it was a ggod thing that I had dropped the phone as replacing the charge curcuit is the solution to my problem anyway. Apparently the P900 and all of the phones which share its connector and charge curcuit are prone to this insidious fault. If you guys have a similar problem. I recommend getting your charge curcuit looked at. Since the repair 4 months ago Ive had no problems what so ever. the battery lasts a constant 3days under normal phone/apps/organiser use. Ive read a lot of threads on this subject and there has been nothing but the simplest of answers provided. none of which have worked. Oh yeah. the guy told me the p910 suffers from the same problems but not as severe. Im not saying that this is your solution. but simply that it might be. But I will say there is nothing worse than having a really cool phone and seeing a red light flashing and an annoying beeeeeeeep every ten minutes, saying low battery (even when the battery meter is on 80% full). all the while thinking that it may be the best phone ever. but when the best phone ever doesnt work. its really just a peice of junk. however my p900 now works. so that makes it the best phone ever.
