Bookmark topic
Hi all, been trying to update my P910i's firmware but all the while i just got this error message:
Error in communication with the device
Make sure you have removed and reinserted the battery. Then try to start the device.
If your device shows an error message or does not start at all, click Recovery Mode
If your device behaves normally, click Start over.
If the problem persists, please contact support.
Anybody know what went wrong here? Please help me...
Thanks.

ok there are many probability
such as
1. SE update server is down
2. your firewall is on
3. you accidently touch your phone then it lost connection
4. your crandle have problem
5. the seus software crashed/corrupted
to counter these problems
off firewall, dont touch your phone and keep it off, reinstall the software
I had that problem last time and i finally got it working

Hi, i've tried all your counter measures before but all doesnt work...
Now the possibility only left these:
1. SE update server is down
4. your crandle have problem
5. the seus software crashed/corrupted

besides you should not plug your charger on ( either power on/off) the cradle when updating
dont overheat your battery (it will restart when overheat)

So do anyone here successfully updated their P910i's firmware recently?

It is most probably not a hardware problem. I have the same problem and I am nearly 100 % sure that the problem lies in Java. I have tried in another computer with success after 1 hour after getting this error message...
