Does anyone know of a software that will open a WordPerfect file? I know our phones have QuickWord, but it will not open a WordPerfect file like the full desktop version will convert it. I am trying to sell my emplolyer on the uses of the P910. We have to use WordPerfect for our internal business use.

IIRC QuickWord only understands Word files, but it uses html as its own file format (disguised with the extension *.doc) so you might try to save your WordPerfect files as html with a *.doc extension and see what happens.

To see what QuickWord files really look like, just create one on your Pee and open it with jText (the really really good free text editor).

BTW, I'm having similar problems opening QuickWord files on my desktop with OpenOffice.org: the *.doc extension (a very stupid thing to do IMHO) confuses the OO.o importer to no end, but renaming the file with a *.htm extension automagically solves the problem.

jText is here: http://www.freepoc.org -- among with oodles of very fine stuff.

Sensible company. WordPerfect is a far better word processor than Word will ever be.

Yes, but unfortunately only QuickWord documents can be printed with PrintBoy. -- Provided I'll ever get it to work, that is...
