hi all!

whenever i want to go to google, i type 'google' in the explorer bar and before i can type '.com' it comes up with all my previous searchers in the drop down bar (the one where you enter the url of your site) does anyone know how i can get rid of it? it is killing me, i dont want them

try deleting all the history and the tempory internet files. i have that problem sometimes because even if i delete all that stuff they still come up. i used to be able to do it but i forgot. try deleting all the history, the little clock icon.

goto tools-> internet options -> and press the "clear History" button...

If you just want to remove the auto-complete feature ie. the automatic addition of the remainder of the url after typing a few letters only ,

goto tools-> internet options -> select "Advanced" tab and clear the In-line Auto-complete checkbox
(the list of websites and other words will still pop-up as before)

oh yes!

i just played around and found out, what you have to do is:

tools>internet options>content>auto complete>untick web address>ok

that should do it!!

but i still want to know how i can delete the actual urls themselves

i use disk cleaner. k4m!k4ze's idea seems best. i did it before but i forgot. i think its useful having the auto url thing ..................sometimes

Clearing the history should do that automatically. i just tried it, it worked for me

i just downloaded a trial of a program called 'evidence clener' did the job and i deleted the program
