Just like it says. Im having the same problem a lot of other are having here. When turned on the phone vibrates and then nothing. When connected to my terminator dongle a green status light, when hooked up to the charger a red one. I just bought this phone off ebay, so I have no idea what led to this. this is how i got it. Im assuming its full memory. The phone has no keypad flip, but i dont think that is an issue. I could always hold down the metal ball/button where it connects to simulate it being there.

ok does anyone know how to fix this? like i said i have a terminator dongle but i dont know how to use it to format the memory. just to clear sp locks and such. would a new flash/firmware format it. if so where would i find one? and does anyone know what the sony ericsson service center does specifically to fix it? id take it to them but its out of warranty. it would cost 200 for the to look at it and fix it. not worth it, when i bought the phone for 100.

please someone help. it would be greatly appreicated

Get the seller that you bought it from to return your money and send the phone back to them.

You can't do much if the phone wil not turn on. To update firmware or do a formatt, the phone have to be on. Maybe that's why they sold it in the first place.

First check the date of mfg. It can be found behind battery. It tells you the week it was mfg. If that date is less than 1y old you can get free warranty work from SE. Then take msd out and reboot. If you can do a master reset do it. If that does not work try getting a fw upgrade from phone store, maybe that puts it in a state were you can do a master reset.
Cheers

hows it goin with se? are you still under warrnety? because that could save alot of time and effot. aslo try booting the phone with ablank mem stick inserted, it might turn to that for memory, if you ever get it to boot do a master reset, other then that try the snyc station and try deleting stuff from your phone with the manager thing, anywho good luck with fixing your phone

boot the phone with no sim in it. you should be able to get to the service menu when the phone asks for a sim. you can format the internal drive from there. This message was posted from a P910
